“The issue of Pediatric clinic of North America on Pediatric Dermatology edited by Kara N Shah and her consulting Editor Bonita Stanton lives well up-to-the expectation for a review journal. The same covers a wide variety of topics relevant for all pediatricians , from atopic dermatitis to the implication of dermatological conditions influencing general well -being of the children leading on to children’s neurodevelopmental disorders .
The readers will appreciate the great care taken by the authors to include details of relevant anatomy, eg of nails and histology of skin. Wide range of clinical problems manifesting through skin signs have been covered.
Psoriasis and superficial skin infections, both fungal and bacterial, have been adequately covered including most current recommendations for their management. Vastly enhanced knowledge in the field of Infantile Haemangiomas along with various differential diagnosis and recent consensus over treatment has been discussed. Various kinds of hair loss has been discussed, which the pediatricians will find useful for their routine practice.”
